Quotes for Inspiration and Motivation

"The question should be, is it worth trying to do, not can it be done." --Allard Lowenstein

“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.” --Paolo Coelho

“You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one. Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own. It's just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.” --Paolo Coelho

“But there is suffering in life, and there are defeats. No one can avoid them. But it's better to lose some of the battles in the struggles for your dreams than to be defeated without ever knowing what you're fighting for.”

“I think it is a problem of our society that we don't enjoy (ourselves.) We have these values, like, you have to be rich, you have to get a diploma, you have to work hard, otherwise you are useless, you are nothing but a pariah. And the book asks, 'Is it true? This is what my mom told me, but is it true?” --Paolo Coelho

“The biggest mistake of the man is that he thinks he doesn't deserve the good and the bad things from his life.” --Paolo Coelho

"Why do we have to listen to our hearts?" "Because, wherever your heart is, that is where you'll find your treasure." --Paolo Coelho

What If

I ran into a friend of yours the other day
And I asked her how you've been
She said my girl is fine; just bought a house, got a job, real good man
I told her I was glad for you; that's wonderful
But does she ever ask `bout me?
She said she's happy with her life right now
Let her go, let her be
And I told myself I would, but something in my heart just would not let you go
I just wanna know

What if we were wrong about each other?
What if you were really made for me?
What if we was `sposed to be together?
Would that not mean anything?
What if that was `sposed to be my house that you go home to every day?
How can you be sure that things are better?
If you can't be sure your heart is still here with me
Still wanting me

Your friend asked me if there was someone special in my life that I was seeing
I told her there was no one in particular
There's just I, myself, and me
I told her that I dream of you quite often
She just cut her eyes at me
She said you got a home, you're very happy
So just stop your meddling
I told her that I won't
I said things were cool, but I guess I was wrong
I still can't move on

Now that could be my car
That could be my house
That could be my baby boy that you're nursing
That could be the trash that I always take out
That could be the chair that I love to chill in
That could be my food on the table at the end of the day
Hugs and the kisses, all the love we make
What the hell do you expect me to say?
What if it's really `sposed to be this way?
What if you're really `sposed to be with me?

Same Same

It seems that nothing has ever changed. People are still the same. The jokes and the bonding moments are still there. Still doing the same tasks. Still going home late at night. Still working overnights. Still doing surprises for someone.
But of course, we cannot change the fact that sooner or later, it's going to a stop. That is why sometimes we shouldn't expect that life will always be the same. We'll never know, the next time we enter the door, it's not anymore the same purpose why we'll go inside. It's sad to think of it that way, but that's the harsh reality. But we'll always have to look on the brighter side of life. The people and the memories will still be there. The fun and the downpours will never be forgotten. It's not only how we came in to these people's lives that we are remembered, but it's also how we touched each one of them and left a mark. What matters is not being applauded when you arrived, but it's when you're missed when you leave.
